About us

Why we’re here

Children with diverse minds often experience the world differently – in how they feel, think and relate to others – and this can shape how they respond to everyday situations.

When these differences aren’t understood or supported, daily life can become harder not just for children, but also for the people around them – especially families.

Over time, this can affect confidence, relationships and wellbeing, and leave adults feeling unsure how best to help, despite their best efforts.

It started with everyday challenges

Mum is tearing her hair out.
A child is overwhelmed.
Nothing seems to work – again.

These moments aren’t dramatic or rare. They’re the quiet, exhausting realities many families and classrooms live with every day. Moments when advice feels distant, patience runs thin and people are left wondering what to try next – or whether trying at all will make a difference.

Oli help was born from moments like these.

From experience to understanding

Before founding Oli help, Valeria Della Rosa worked across the private and public sectors, focusing on technology, product development and social innovation. But it was her experience as a parent – and the support she couldn’t find when she needed it – that led her to create Oli help.

Supporting her son wasn’t about finding the right answer once and for all. It was about moving through cycles of insight and being overwhelmed, readiness and resistance, hope and fatigue. About learning – often the hard way – that understanding doesn’t arrive on demand, and that even the best-designed help only works when someone is ready to receive it.

What was missing wasn’t information or effort.
It was support that came at the right time.
Support that could sit alongside uncertainty and adapt to real life.

Designing help that respects readiness

Hello Valeria! - Oli help

Oli help was created from a simple but often overlooked insight: timing matters.

Not all help should instruct.
Not all support should push.
Sometimes what’s needed is space, validation and something that helps you make sense of things at your own pace.

That’s why Oli help is designed as a reflective companion – offering structure without prescription, guidance without urgency and support without judgement. Not a fixer. Not a loud coach. Just something that stays with you while you work things out.

This approach is grounded in evidence and shaped by ongoing learning, including research collaborations exploring how readiness and emotional safety shape what support can offer.

A different way of thinking about support

We believe children with diverse minds don’t need to be changed to fit the world. They need adults who are supported, informed and not left alone to figure things out.

That belief guides how Oli help is built, how it’s offered and how it continues to evolve – listening closely to evidence, to lived experience and to the people who use it.

Because real life isn’t linear. And support shouldn’t be either.

Oli help exists to offer support that’s there when you’re ready.

Your data, always

Your data is private and secure.

It’s used only to personalise the support you receive – never sold, never shared.

No judgement, ever

Oli help is a safe, supportive space.

There’s no right way to parent, teach or care for a child with a diverse mind – and no place for judgement.

Oli help is not a medical device and does not replace clinical, therapeutic or educational care. It’s designed to complement existing support, offering practical, everyday guidance alongside professional input where appropriate.
